When the complete lifecycle is scrutinized starting from mineral extraction and energy-intensive battery manufacturing to end-of-life recycling the net environmental ledger grows nuanced. In many cases, systemic burdens are not genuinely eliminated, but merely shifted across geography and future generations. Technological progress provides real utility only when grounded in sound physics and transparent economic accounting.
